1. On a number line, the distance from 0 means how far a number is from 0. We do not care about direction (left or right).
2. The distance from 0 is called the absolute value. We write it as:
   \(|a|\) = distance of \(a\) from 0.
3. For \(6\):
   \(|6| = 6\).
4. For \(-6\):
   \(|-6| = 6\).
5. Both distances are equal:
   \(|6| = |-6| = 6\).
6. So, \(6\) and \(-6\) are at the same distance from 0 (they are on opposite sides).

Therefore: True.
