1. A fraction has two parts: a numerator on top and a denominator at the bottom.
2. The denominator tells how many equal parts the whole is divided into.
3. When two or more fractions have the same denominator, we give them a special name.
4. They are called like fractions.

Examples

Example 1: ( rac{2}{7} )

Example 2: ( rac{5}{7} )

Example 3: ( rac{1}{7} )

All these have the same denominator (7). So they are like fractions.
