1. Divide 25 by 8.
   \(25 \div 8 = 3\) with a remainder of \(1\).

3. Now change \(\tfrac{1}{8}\) into a decimal.
   Multiply top and bottom by \(125\).
   \(\tfrac{1}{8} = \tfrac{1\times125}{8\times125} = \tfrac{125}{1000}\).
4. \(\tfrac{125}{1000} = 0.125\).
5. Add them: \(3 + 0.125 = 3.125\).

Therefore, \(\tfrac{25}{8} = 3.125\). The statement is true.
