We want to round 75.195 to the nearest hundredths (two decimal places).

1. Write the number and mark the places:
   7 5 . 1 9 5
   Ones = 5, Tenths = 1, Hundredths = 9, Thousandths = 5
2. For rounding to hundredths, look at the next digit (the thousandths digit).
   Thousandths digit = (5)
3. Rule: if the next digit is (ge 5), increase the hundredths digit by (1).
4. Our hundredths digit is (9). Add one:
   (9 + 1 = 10)
   This makes a carry: put (0) in the hundredths place and add (1) to the tenths place.
5. Tenths digit changes from (1) to:
   (1 + 1 = 2)
6. Now the number becomes:
   75.20
   (It’s fine to write the trailing zero to show two decimal places.)

Rounded answer: 75.20
