Divide the figure into two triangles and a rectangle.

Triangle: \(\tfrac{1}{2} \times 13 \times 16 = 104 \text{ cm}^2\).

Rectangle: \(8 \times 4 = 32 \text{ cm}^2\).

Subtract overlapping triangle: \(\tfrac{1}{2} \times 8 \times 4 = 16 \text{ cm}^2\).

Total = 104 + 32 − 54 = 82 cm².
